Feasibility and architectural design of a refinery in Guinea.

The assignment included feasibility consultancy but also aesthetic and comfort advice for the construction of the facade and roof of a refinery.
A preliminary type project was developed, selected and chosen thanks to the graphic rendering and specific drawings. Materials and structures were identified in line with the aesthetic and thermic comfort requirements linked to the context.

The envelope designed for a refinery in Guinea of about 12,000 cubic meters consists of a sheet-like Kalzipcladding on the ground floor up to a height of three meters and for the roof. The unique ductility of Kalzipaluminum profiled panels has made it possible to translate plastic requirements and functional requirements perfectly and harmoniously.

Furthermore, this material is an alloy resistant to sea water and saltiness, laminated on both sides in such a way as to be anticorrosive, thus resulting extremely durable, remaining unchanged and fascinating over time even if subjected to less favorable conditions.

From the three-metre level up to the eaves level, a Schüco product like Facid was chosen with variable vertical structure spacers.

The composition of the factory cladding is aimed at the best possible integration with the skyline of the settlement site. The duotone suggested by the client further contributes to creating an appropriate scale relationship with the natural environment. The type of coating also allows you to reproduce, if desired, the name and/or logo of the company and/or colored vertical or horizontal bands on the surface itself.
