Construction of a museum newsstand

The architectural language used for the museum newsstand is characterized by the combination of light gray aluminum and glass resting on a basalt stone “chair”, meeting the requirements of neutrality with the landscape and constructive practicality, in line with the image of the surrounding building.

The building for museum use was created on our project and with our direct supervision: it was created with the primary objective of ensuring protection for archaeological finds with many worked stones including a Pulvino, dating back to a Roman necropolis in adjacent to the consular road Nomentana and combines the exhibition function with characteristics of openness and reception for guests and visitors, inserting itself carefully and without “clamour” on the road edge of the important consular road.

The architectural language used for the Edicule on the Nomentana is characterized by the combination of light gray aluminum and glass resting on a basalt stone “chair”, meeting the requirements of neutrality with the landscape and constructive practicality, in line with the image of the surrounding building.

To combine the need for an environment with “controlled” climatic conditions and the best visual enjoyment of the finds located below the current street level, a glazed structural floor was created, much appreciated by both the client and the “Soprintendenza”.
